A Super Coupe without a blown head gasket, a working transmission and no rocker panel rust?
In the Midwest??
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I know.. I know.. I’m all over the place with potential toys.
This is one I’ve always wanted and have owned but have never owned in working order. The last one I had was only hitting on 4 cylinders and it would still set you back in your seat under boost.
It may actually be time for a Craigslist ban.

Do it, I’ve had 3. You will regret it.... won’t, won’t regret it.

I regret thr two non-runners I had. I don’t know why I want to try for a third but I do..
In the rare event that they run right they are a damn blast.

There is no reason to pass that up.

Something tells me you may be biased. Call it a hunch.

A car that large and comfortable should not move that quick. If you do end up getting it I’ve still got all the go fast goodies in my garage. I’ve been hanging onto the ported supercharger thinking of some crazy way to fit it to my wrangler or Triumph. 89 SC was actually my first car I bought with my own money, bought it as a 17 yr old in High School. No clue how I didn’t kill myself when it rained.

Naw, not biased at all.

HA! The last two I had were “Performance White” like your avatar.
They were unusually well balanced for their heft. I read an interview with a couple of the suspension guys that worked on the MN12 where they said they made it neutral on purpose. They said if you dialed in a degree and a half of negative camber (possibly rear toe out. it’s been a long time..) it would have been a lot more fun.

Do it! I loved my MN12 to death.

I need to see it in person. MN12s had Ford’s “Now it’s here and now it’s gone” sheetmetal. It may run like a dingbat out of hell but rust is a deal killer.

Or! Definitely not gonna be that cheap, but there’s a lot more Super in this particular coupe:

Oh hell would that be fun!
But sadly, I’m working on a $3000 budget. I know that won’t fit there. \
Maybe I should just go back to old F100s...

I somehow managed to get an LX with no rust on it, even if the paint is peeling from the front bumper.

Is it bad that I want an MN12 more and more every day? Because I do.

Not when you have TPI in your username!
They are really tragically overlooked performance cars.

Lol. Agreed though, I’ve always had a soft spot for MN12s. They look good, handle pretty good if you consider how big they are, and have decent power. I wish my grandma would’ve kept hers. It was a green ‘96, fully loaded, 4.6. Got rid of it with like 60k on the clock for her Taurus (the car I have now for my DD). Would’ve been sweet to have that as a DD!

Thought the same thing as well. Though, I guess it is a 25 year old car now.
